The Denis and Lenora Foretia Foundation works to catalyze Africa\u2019s Economic Transformation through social entrepreneurship, science and technology, innovation, public health, and progressive policies that create economic opportunities for all. Our areas of work include sustainable development, science and innovation, health, leadership, education, entrepreneurship, economic and public policy. The Denis and Lenora Foundation is an umbrella non-profit institution with several departments including the Nkafu Policy Institute, the Small Business and Entrepreneurship Center, the Communication, and the Sustainable Development Programs.<\/p> 
The Small Business and Entrepreneurship Center focus on providing necessary tools to Small Businesses from the informal sector, and Small and Medium Enterprises for establishing and expanding their activities to spur economic growth. The SBEC has also a strong focus on empowering Women in the private sector to establish and grow small and medium-sized enterprises, for increased employability and job creation among women and youths. This is done by improving the technical competencies of small business owners within the SBEC Network.<\/p> 
The Small Business and Entrepreneurship Center is looking for a Senior Manager for the Center to oversee general operations and implement a strong skills development and job creation strategy that directly tackles the challenge of youth unemployment in Cameroon.<\/p> 
Roles & Responsibility:<\/h4> 
Reporting to the Director of SBEC, the Senior Manager shall oversee all aspects of the center. This includes:<\/p> 
\u00b7 Designing and implementing an essential skills program for all members of the SBEC Network:<\/p> 
\u00b7 Developing solid strategies to increase members of the SBEC network:<\/p> 
\u00b7 Creating opportunities for mutual learning among small business owners through the organization of Business Roundtables, panel discussions and other forums:<\/p> 
\u00b7 Establishing an extensive network of professional services to cater to the many needs of small businesses in the country:<\/p> 
\u00b7 Assisting small businesses transition from the informal sector to the formal sector<\/p> 
\u00b7 Organizing training sessions and Seminars for SMEs;<\/p> 
\u00b7 Conducting research and publish articles on entrepreneurship:<\/p> 
\u00b7 Designing a strategic and yearly plan of action for the department:<\/p> 
\u00b7 Moderate or serve as a panelist during events:<\/p> 
\u00b7 Grant writing:<\/p> 
\u00b7 Developing partnerships with other stakeholders:<\/p> 
\u00b7 Designing business toolkits for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs):<\/p> 
\u00b7 Coordinating activities with other members of the Foundation in promoting the establishment of a business-friendly environment in the country<\/p> 
Qualifications<\/h4> 
\u00b7 Bilingual candidates (English and French) preferred<\/p> 
\u00b7 Advanced degrees in Business, Marketing, management, accounting or any other related field<\/p> 
\u00b7 Minimum of 5 years relevant experience<\/p> 
\u00b7 Experience managing diverse teams<\/p> 
\u00b7 A good understanding of project management<\/p> 
\u00b7 Experience working with non-profit Organizations or the private sector<\/p> 
\u00b7 Excellent verbal and written communication skills.<\/p> 
\u00b7 The ability to lead and motivate a small team would be an advantage<\/p> 
\u00b7 Willingness to re-locate to Yaound\u00e9<\/p>
