ABOUT THE COMMUNICATIONS DEPARTMENT<\/span><\/p> 
The Communication Department manages the Foundation\u2019s external and internal communication and\u202fis charged with ensuring the visibility of the Foundation and its activities through the creation of quality content and visuals. The department is also charged with the drafting and implementation of the Foundation\u2019s communication strategy, handling public relations, information output, press releases and media requests, social media, and email newsletters.<\/p> 
Job description:<\/span><\/p> 
We are seeking a highly diligent, confident candidate with substantial experience in Corporate Communications to develop and implement effective communications activities for the general public and stakeholders. Write and optimize content for the website, digital newsletters, print publications and social media sites as well as ensure consistency in terms of voice, branding, messaging and frequency of posting via digital channels. This full-time position will be based in Yaound\u00e9.<\/p> 
Core duties<\/span><\/p> 
\u00b7 Development, implementation, and evaluation of the annual communications strategy and communications plan;<\/p> 
\u00b7 Ensuring that organizational initiatives and projects are successfully supported and communicated to staff and key external stakeholders;<\/p> 
\u00b7 Maintaining and updating the Foundations social media pages;<\/p> 
\u00b7 Assisting in creating graphics and other accessories for social media promotion;<\/p> 
\u00b7 Updating the database of media and other contacts to ensure they are accurate, and up to date;<\/p> 
\u00b7 Assisting with the production and publication of videos;<\/p> 
\u00b7 Contributing ideas to develop new channels for the Foundation\u2019s communications;<\/p> 
\u00b7 Assisting in the development of a monthly reporting system on the Foundation\u2019s communication activities;<\/p> 
\u00b7 Generating online content that engages audience segments and leads to measurable action.<\/p> 
\u00b7 Other general responsibilities as may be reasonably requested over time.<\/p> 
Skills and Qualifications<\/span><\/p> 
In order to be an eligible candidate you need to fulfil a set of formal requirements. These requirements are:<\/p> 
\u00b7 Must hold at least a Bachelor\u2019s degree in communications, public relations, journalism or any related field;<\/p> 
\u00b7 At least two years working experience in a communications field;<\/p> 
\u00b7 Proficient with on-line communications;<\/p> 
\u00b7 Flexible, open and dependable;<\/p> 
\u00b7 Strong interpersonal skills;<\/p> 
\u00b7 Excellent verbal and written communication skills;<\/p> 
Or in any other field related to the above-mentioned.<\/p> 
\u00b7 Excellent oral and written communication skills;<\/p> 
\u00b7 Proficiency in English and French;<\/p> 
\u00b7 Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint\u2026);<\/p> 
\u00b7 Be a good communicator and team player;<\/p> 
\u00b7 Be able to multi-task, be extremely organized, and have meticulous attention to detail;<\/p> 
\u00b7 Desire to learn, take initiative, and suggest best practices with a willingness to take and implement constructive feedback and guidance;<\/p>
