&nbsp;Business Development Manager<br>Purpose:&nbsp; How does this post support Plan\u2019s strategy and mission?&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Provide support to the grants department in the follow-up key processes and tasks related to resource mobilisation and archiving<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dimensions of Role:<br>\u2022&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Report to the Business Development Manager<br>\u2022&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Support the monitoring process of resource mobilization initiatives<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Typical Responsibilities &#8211; Key End Results of Position:<br>\u201cWhat\u201d is done and \u201cwhy\u201d, but not \u201chow\u201d; include indicators for success<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Keeps track of&nbsp; and reminds GSM of grants department activity plans<br>\u2022&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Tracks and reports on the progress of concept notes\/proposals to be developed or in the pipeline<br>\u2022&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Proofreads concept notes\/proposals and grant reports for grammatical and formatting errors<br>\u2022&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Supports the grants department with secretariat duties<br>\u2022&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Provide support in the process for Identifying &amp; exploring new fundraising opportunities; review and summarize funding requirements from various donors; recommend response to fundraising opportunities;<br>\u2022&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Update all grant files at CO and liaise with project coordinators for the update of grant files at PUs<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Dealing with Problems:<br>\u2022&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Ability to solve problems and thinking strategically<br>\u2022&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Program Units<br>Knowledge, Skills, Behaviors, and Experience Required to Achieve Role\u2019s Objectives:<br>Gained through education, training, &amp; experience<br>Qualification and Experience<br>\u2022&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;A university degree in sociology or social sciences\/Economic.<br>\u2022&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;An advanced university degree (Masters) is an advantage<br>\u2022&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Background training, skills, and knowledge in general grants and community development processes is also an advantage.<br>\u2022&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Work experience in this or related disciplines will be an advantage<br>\u2022&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Experience on grants compliance requirements for a donor<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Demonstrated behaviors needed by the postholder to successfully perform the role:<br>\u2022&nbsp;&nbsp;
