Together, we seek to protect and restore natural habitats, stop the mass extinction of wildlife, and make the way we produce and consume sustainable<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>For our country programme office in Cameroon, we are looking for 2 dynamic and committed Business and Industries interns who will provide support to support the rollout of the two project activities in the landscapes.<br>Location: Yaound\u00e9<br>Duration: 3 Months (From 1st April 2022)<br>Mission of the department<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>The \u00ab\u00a0Green Commodity Landscape Programme\u00a0\u00bb is part of WWF&rsquo;s ongoing efforts to promote sustainable cocoa production, forest protection and create new economic activities for communities in two geographical areas in Cameroon. Other agro-commodities such as, rubber, oil palm, banana, etc. will also be included in the program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>The aim of the program within these landscapes is to develop plans, in collaboration with communities, local authorities and companies, on the production of agricultural products that can improve the income of farmers and their families, while contributing to forest protection. Forest protection is an important part of the program. The forest remains pivotal to people\u2019s lives: forest disappearance will lead to climate change and decreased soil fertility resulting from erosion. The end effect of this is decreased agricultural yields and more droughts. The aim of the program includes; organization of farmers, training, support to improve the quality of cocoa, support to forest protection activities etc.<br>The \u201cMobilising More for Climate\u201d programme\u2019s main objective is to develop thriving economic green zones that benefit everyone, in various ways:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>\uf0b7 Connect entrepreneurs, SMEs and smallholder cooperatives with companies, investors, policymakers<br>\uf0b7 Support green and inclusive business propositions with local ownership<br>\uf0b7 Redirect investment flows to sustainable, climate-resilient landscape initiatives<br>\uf0b7 Embed climate resilience and social equity in economic development<br>Main responsibilities<br>The interns will be responsible for:<br>\uf0b7 Contribute to the planning, implementation and reporting of project activities<br>\uf0b7 Contribute to the constitution of the local client portfolio and to their connection with the producers of<br>sustainable commodities in the WWF landscapes.<br>\uf0b7 Ensure all management tasks, and in particular the material organization of meetings<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>What you need:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Required Qualifications<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>\uf0b7 Minimum of a Bachelor degree in the field of Agribusiness, sales &amp; marketing, Business Management, or related field<br>\uf0b7 Suitable for rural life<br>\uf0b7 Understanding of forest and wildlife policy, and natural resource management principles<br>\uf0b7 Excellent people, diplomacy, and conflict resolution skills to handle complex and highly sensitive multi-<br>stakeholder situations<br>\uf0b7 Strong communication skills<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\uf0b7 Proficiency in French or English<br>\uf0b7 Quick thinking; capability of reacting under pressure<br>\uf0b7 Adhere to WWF\u2019s values: Respect, Courage, Integrity &amp; Collaboration.<br>How to apply:<br>Apply through the Link: https:\/\/cameroon.panda.org\/apply_to_a_job\/apply_to_a_job\/<br>Deadline for applications: 19th March 2022.<br>Thank you in advance for your interest in this position.
