Shared Value"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br>MTN Cameroon is Hiring a Manager, ESG &amp; Shared Value<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Posted on&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/mtn.cm\/fr\/2022\/02\/01\/mtn-cameroon-is-hiring-a-manager-esg-shared-value\/\">February 1, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><td>Brief Job Description:<\/td><td><\/td><td><\/td><td><\/td><td><\/td><td><\/td><td><\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Mission\/ Core purpose of the Job: (Short description)<br>Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Manager is responsible for developing and overseeing environmental, social and corporate governance policies and procedures, as well as reviewing and appraising proposed transactions to be socially and environmentally sustainable and comply with safeguarding policies and internationally recognized best practices.<br>The role works with various teams, clients and potentially suppliers to define steps necessary to address compliance gaps where they arise from policy and identifies opportunities to add value proactively, beyond compliance and risk mitigation, and contribute to long-term developmental impact and sustainability.<br>Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Manager formulates recommendations and requirements for action and incorporates these into applicable internal and related documentation to facilitate proper corporate governance.<br>The role is responsible for monitoring the environmental, social and governance performance.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><\/td><td><\/td><td><\/td><td><\/td><td><\/td><td><\/td><td><\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Detailed Job Description:<\/strong><\/td><td><\/td><td><\/td><td><\/td><td><\/td><td><\/td><td><\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Operational Delivery<\/strong><br>Operational Planning<br>\u2022 Provide input to planning process to set goals and objectives for the ESG Compliance function based on the outcomes of the planning to ensure compliance with the applicable laws and regulations.<br>\u2022 Consider the impact of solutions on other areas of the business, as well as the interdependency of units.<br>\u2022 Drive best practice, continuous improvement and innovation at process and procedure level.<br>\u2022 ESG Compliance Risk Management:<br>\u2022 Develop and execute the roadmap\/methodology to ensure ESG compliance with the applicable laws and regulations especially Telecommunications and Competition law related legislation through participation by the required MTNC business unit(s).<br>\u2022 Update the ESG compliance policy where necessary and ensure that it is successfully rolled out within the organization.<br>\u2022 Ensure that projects are adequately prioritized and executed with norms within MTNC<br>\u2022 Take ownership of ESG compliance projects and ensure that the required resources and project managers are allocated to these projects.<br>\u2022 Initiate and execute the required ESG risk assessments based on the applicable laws and regulations and produce compliance risk management plans.<br>\u2022 Interact with middle management throughout organization to initiate and provide guidance with regards to the compliance activities that they may be responsible for.<br>\u2022 Provide advice to all Business Units and report on the progress of ESG compliance activities throughout MTNC units to the required stakeholders.<br>\u2022 Provide appropriate guidance to team members, management on the effective implementation of the required laws and regulations so that compliance is evident.<br>\u2022&nbsp; Liaison with regulatory bodies and Government departments to successfully manage the impact of changings regulations and policies<br>\u2022 Interact with external \/third parties such as other mobile operators and regulators to understand the content\/scope of compliance initiatives required for MTNC.<br>\u2022 Assure all MTNC procedure and relationships are aligned with legal and regulatory requirements especially<br>\u2022 Prepare process and integration with required Business Units to achieve regulatory approval of rate plans required to be filed with regulator<strong>Compliance Monitoring:<\/strong><br>\u2022 Produce and maintain a compliance monitoring plan, which contains the high-risk provisions in relation to existing laws and regulations and ensure mitigation actions identified are in place.<br>\u2022 Ensure that the necessary corrective actions are implemented to close any identified regulatory compliance gaps or breakdowns with input from regulatory advisors as identified through the compliance monitoring process.<br>\u2022 Ensure that new products and pricing regimes comply with regulatory legal and commercial requirements agreements<br>\u2022 Manage preparations and filing of all required regulatory reports<br>Customer Satisfaction<br>\u2022 Understand customer needs and develop and fine-tune regulatory position accordingly<br>\u2022 Adopt a proactive approach to prevent problems from arising in the future.<br>\u2022 Initiate change to continually improve all aspects of service delivery.<br>\u2022 Drive continuous improvement as an important element of service delivery.<br>Creativities (improvement\/innovation inherent).
