Further the role is responsible for managing big data and advanced analytics initiatives, data integration\/engineering, and business intelligence and data warehousing. The position requires building strong technical hands-on skills and experience as well as establishing close business relationships across the enterprise\nThe role is responsible to drive performance of analytics solutions to impact overall business results &amp; deliver actionable insights to the business &amp; product teams that aids in strategic decision making.\nThe role is also responsible for allowing access to information that is critical to the success of multiple areas including sales &amp; distribution, finance, marketing etc. The role leads teams across the below two sub functions:\n\u2013 Data Science\n\u2013 BI &amp; Reporting\nDetailed Job Description:\t\t\t\t\t\t\nOperational Delivery\nFunctional Leadership:\nAs the functional leader of the BI &amp; Analytics vertical, the role is accountable to:\n\u2013 Align the results of the BI and Analytics vertical, collectively and as individual work areas in the OpCo, ensuring that the Group guidelines are duly complied with\n\u2013 Measure the impact and benefit of the function to OpCo and in turn, Group FinCo and report the true-value metrics. Drive continuous improvement across all verticals\nDelivery Leadership:\nAs the delivery leader of the BI and Analytics vertical, the role is accountable for the following work area outcomes:\nStrategy &amp; Analytics, Budgeting, Data and Reporting\n\u2013 Implement &amp; execute policies, procedures and guidelines set forth by group BI &amp; Analytics team and ensure the team complies with the same\n\u2013 Implement governance to manage the consolidated OpCo BI &amp; Analytics strategy, budgets and financials, under direction from the OpCo CEO\n\u2013 Cascade the Group Fintech budget, analytics and reporting framework in the function, under direction from the OpCo CEO\n\u2013 Scout opportunities and implement ways to continuously improve OpCo BI &amp; Analytics Executive Management Reporting\nBI and Analytics Operations\n\u2013 Drive elicitation and review business reporting and analytic requirements from the business groups through formal interviews or facilitated sessions and translate into technical designs for OpCo business intelligence implementation\n\u2013 Develop BI content (reports, dashboards, scorecards, analytic solutions), in collaboration with the team, to provide data necessary to effectively make business decisions and measure goal attainment and overall performance\n\u2013 Undertake work-stream planning process including inception, technical design, development, testing and delivery of BI solutions that emphasize speed to market results\n\u2013 Lead data science, engineering and visualization programs in the OpCo in order to make decisions based on insights from data\n\u2013 Build BI capability in the OpCo and inject best practices\n\u2013 Guide business areas in identifying new data needs and delivery mechanisms for reporting information as well as self-service solutions\n\u2013 Work with business areas to adapt their business processes to effectively use enterprise data sources for information and analytical needs\n\u2013 Other tasks and duties, as assigned\nManagerial \/ Supervisory Responsibilities\n\u2013 Accountable for the morale, performance, and development of the function\u2019s human capital\n\u2013 Cascade and socialize work structure processes to enable adoption by the team\n\u2013 Coach and mentor direct reports\n\u2013 Ensure assigned team is led, motivated, and rewarded to achieve KPA\u2019s\n\u2013 Ensure that coaching \/ mentoring programs and personal development plans are in place for all staff members\n\u2013 Ensure effective management of diversity among personnel in the function\n\u2013 Identify staff training and development needs and implement necessary actions, in collaboration with HR\n\u2013 Motivate and manage individuals to perform at the highest level, especially in terms of delivery and meeting target deadlines\n\u2013 Possess the authority, presence, and integrity to command respect from colleagues and from external contacts\n\u2013 Provide career development for direct reports (counselling, coaching, identifying key performance areas, career planning, and goal setting), in collaboration with HR\nJob Requirements:\t\t\t\t\t\t\nEducation:\n\u2013 4-year Business Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science (or related) Degree\n\u2013 Master\u2019s in business administration is advantageousExperience\n\u2013 Minimum 4 to 6 years relevant experience in a similar position with at least 2 years in a managerial role\n\u2013 Experience in Fintech, banking or financial services is preferred\n\u2013 Working experience in  BI, customer insight or data analytics related senior role\n\u2013 Knowledge of modern Big Data platforms and Open-Source solutions to database, data analysis, and data management\n\u2013 Deep knowledge and experience in data reporting\/visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)\n\u2013 Deep knowledge and experience in data analytics tools (SQL, Python, SAS, etc\nAdditional Details:\t\t\t\t\t\t\nSkills\/ competencies:\n\u2013 Analytical thinking\n\u2013 Business Acumen\n\u2013 Conflict management\n\u2013 Continuous improvement\n\u2013 Data interpretation\n\u2013 Decision making\n\u2013 Delivery focused\n\u2013 Leadership\n\u2013 Negotiations\n\u2013 Presentation\n\u2013 Relationship building\nKnowledge\n\u2013 Big data and analytics\n\u2013 Data mining  &amp;
