The CDI will assist for differents AWF projects in the planification, execution and monitoring of activities related to income generation, community engagement in conservation and environmental education\/sensitization. Income generating activities include the valorization of Non-Timber Forest Products (organization of trainings, awareness-raising, market research and regular monitoring of activities), being keeping, agroforestry and sustainable small-scale agriculture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Location:&nbsp;<strong>Dja Biosphere Reserve (with option to be transferred to&nbsp;<\/strong>Faro National Park&nbsp;<strong>or Campo-Ma\u2019an National Park)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Duration:&nbsp;<strong>One (01) Year<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Support with the planification, realization and reporting of community\u2019s development activities (awareness raising, trainings, group structuration, etc.).<\/li><li>Support with nurseries development, management and monitoring.<\/li><li>Support with agroforests plantations development, management and monitoring.<\/li><li>Assist in the development of training modules and capacity building facilitation sessions.<\/li><li>Provide support for the structuration of producer groups (NTFP collectors and owners of agroforestry plantations) and income-generating activities development<\/li><li>Provide support in the logistical preparation and organization of workshops, trainings and sensitization sessions, exchange visits, etc.<\/li><li>Participate in site coordination meetings and the capitalisation of experience;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Assist in the production and dissemination of communications material to partners;<\/li><li>Perform other additional activities Task as requested by the Technical Advisor.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Learning<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Young Graduate Professional Internship Programme is a learning opportunity, therefore, the Professional intern MUST demonstrate a strong aptitude and motivation to learn and grow. He\/she should be opened to feedback and ready to take initiatives.REQUIREMENTS<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>A Masters in a social science field related to conservation and development (Development, Project Management, Environmental or Natural Resource Management).<\/li><li>At least 1 years\u2019 experience in conservation and development programs, including significant time in community animation or related;<\/li><li>Demonstrated ability to transfer knowledge to diverse audiences through training and other formal and non-formal methods;<\/li><li>Experience in organizing and collecting socio-economic data and working with communities<\/li><li>Ability to work effectively in remote and challenging areas, in cross-cultural situations and multicultural environment.<\/li><li>Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment;<\/li><li>Willingness and ability to travel to remote and sometimes physically challenging locations<\/li><li>Self-organized and having own initiatives.<\/li><li>French and English speaking.<\/li><li>Good writing, synthesis and organizational skills<\/li><li>Computer skills (MS Office)<\/li><li>Adheres to AWF\u2019s values<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><em>\u00b7\u00a0<\/em>Good skills &#8211; both written and verbal (English and French).<\/li><li><em>\u00b7\u00a0<\/em>Good computer skills (MS Office package, Online researches, etc.), IT skills will be an asset.<\/li><li><em>\u00b7\u00a0<\/em>Culturally aware and able to work effectively in various cultural environments.
