The Cameroon Baptist Convention (CBC)<\/strong> Health Services requires the services for a Program Officer to serve for World Child Cancer in Cameroon. This position requires demonstrable experience in Program Management, Finance and Administration and Monitoring & Evaluation

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES<\/strong>
PROGRAM SUPPORT
\u2022    Program delivery: Support the implementation of projects and\/or Programs-for example organizing training, meetings, conferences etc
\u2022    Planing: Contribute to the annual work planning and budgeting processes, including identification of potential projects for funding
\u2022    Safeguarding: Ensure application of WCC policies and procedures to programs including safeguarding
FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION SUPPORT<\/strong>
\u2022    Budget management: Ensure activities are delivered within the designatd budget and that potential overunderspends are identified early and proactively managed.
\u2022    Record keeping: Ensure that all expenses are appropriately executed and recorded, in accordance with financial policy and best practice. For example, obtaining quotations and receipts to submit to finance department
\u2022    Reporting:  Work with program manager to produce accurate financial reports on a quartefy basis<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MONITORING EVALUATION & LEARNING<\/strong>
\u2022    In general, work with the Program Manager to develop and implement appropriate monitoring and evaluation procedures (guidelines, policies) and systems (tools)
\u2022    Ensure systematic data collection for key, quaalitative, indicators linked to quality of care and patient experience
\u2022    Work with Program Coordinator, to analyse the above data and produce timely monthly, quatarly and annual reports, including recommendations for future improvement in Program delivery<\/p>\n\n\n\n

APPLIED KWOLEDGE & SKILLS<\/strong>
\u2022    Strong team building skills, partnerships and working in multicultural setting with diverse partners
\u2022    Kwoledge and understanding of Cameroon public Health structures and systems
\u2022    Strong oral and written communication skills
\u2022    Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office suite software
\u2022    Strong organizational and attention to details needed to adhere to project deadlines<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS<\/strong>
\u2022    A minimum of a degree in Public Health, Development Studies, Social Science or related field
\u2022    Minimum of 2 years of experience in implementing and managing public health projects
\u2022    Demonstrated experience in the development and use fo multi-media communications
\u2022    Demonstrated strong technical, programming and management skills
\u2022    Excellent writen and oral communication skills in English are required
\u2022    Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite is required
\u2022    A background in clinical practice and\/or epidermiology is an added advantage<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:<\/strong>
This will be a full-time based in Bamenda; with ability for frequently traveling internaly
The initial contract will be two years
