Permanent contract based in Douala Reporting to the CFO, the Chief Accountant is in charge of: Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial report<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Preparation of monthly, and annual budget execution reports<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Maintaining accurate and up to date records of all financial transactions<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Recording classifying and summarising financial transactions and events in accordance with ac- cepted local accounting principles and financial reporting standards<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Using various software applications, such as spreadsheets, relational databases, statistical packages and graphics packages to assemble, manipulate and \/or format data for accounting and reporting purposes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Advising and assisting the management in the compilation and control of budget<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Reconciliation of bank statements<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Ensuring appropriate financial control in compliance with local legislation<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Advising on the improvement of financial management system, internal control system, the use of financial management software, the medium- term and program budgeting<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Cooperation with external auditors to carry out annual external auditing<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Supervising the day-to-day operation of the accounting<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Other financial management duties assigned by the Head of Finance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Profile Bachelor’s degree in accounting & Finance,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 ACCA part 1,283, Certified Chartered Accountant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Seven years of relevant work experience, with IFRS & SYSCOHADA<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Excellent accounting knowledge with regard to assets and properties in particular<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Strong estimation skills and ability to predict the fluctuation of values of assets<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Good communication, analytical and observation skills<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ability to work with high precision and efficiency in preparing financial statements<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Fluent in French and English<\/p>\n\n\n\n
