Job Objectives <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Ensure that all Unix IBM Servers in Data Centre are up and running, backups taken and system is made available at all times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 1. Process Administration Unix (AIX) System Administration of IBM Servers and Enterprise Storage Server<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2022 Configure the UNIX servers to the specific need and requirements of the applications. Unix systems servers and related components to achieve high availability and performance of the various business applications supported <\/p>\n\n\n\n Disk space and File System Management on IBM Servers. Perform System Administrative activities on IBM AIX servers, including system software configuration, user management, patches updates etc Administering of Enterprise Storage Systems (ESS) and Storage Area Networks (SAN) for IBM systems<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2022 Communicate with the user community and co-workers to assess needs, resolve problems, and provide technical assistance where necessary relating to Unix systems administration functions specific to all applications that runs on the Unix Operating systems<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2022 Monitoring System Performance, Scheduling backup and restore using tools account maintenance, file systems and volume groups Documentation of technical details for the IBM infrastructure. \u2022 Proactive system management and maintenance to prevent system downtime and data loss UNIX scripting for the automation of common administrative tasks in AIX Perform other duties as assigned by Head Enterprise systems. Timely completion of all assigned IBM AIX platform deliverables and projects. Qualification required: Education B.Sc. Computer Science\/Engineering AIX Advanced Certified Certifications, Good Managerial and Project Management Skill Experience required: Minimum requisite experience – +6 years relevant experience with at least 1 years as a database administrator within a technology intensive environment (Financial Services, Telecommunications, etc).
