Job Description:
The Architect will be responsible for designing and reviewing the construction of the cement
grinding plant and offices. The architect will plan new buildings, extensions or modifications
to existing structures, and advise on the refurbishment and conservation of old properties.
Duties and Responsibilities (Not Exhaustive):
\u2022 Create architectural designs for the plant and office buildings while ensuring they
comply with safety standards and local planning regulations;
\u2022 Regularly adjust architectural designs and plans to meet company\u2019s needs, budgets and
deadlines;
\u2022 Assist in obtaining building permits and necessary documents for the construction
process;
\u2022 Interpret construction drawings to contractors and management and demonstrate how
they will be organized and built;
\u2022 Specify the nature and quality of materials required for the buildings;
\u2022 Study applicable standards or specifications prior to execution and communicate to
contractors and construction workers;
\u2022 Monitor construction activities to ensure that all construction work is done in
accordance with the approved construction drawings, contract documents, project
specifications, and all applicable standards whether local, national, or international
standards;
\u2022 Regularly visit the construction site to inspect progress of work from start to finish in
collaboration with civil engineers;
Skills
\u2022 Excellent design and technical drawing skills;
\u2022 Proficiency in Microsoft Office and software programs such as Computer-Aided Design
(Cad) and Revit;
\u2022 High levels of creativity and imagination and the ability to work in three dimensions
(3d);
\u2022 Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities;
\u2022 Understand safety measures in a construction plant;
\u2022 Good communication skills and team spirit;
\u2022 Fluent in spoken and written English and German and a working knowledge in
French;
Qualification:
\u2022 A Master\u2019s or Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Architecture.
Experience:
\u2022 At least 5 – 10 years\u2019 experience of practice in the architectural field.
