Detailed Job Description:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n\u00ab\u00a0Operational Delivery <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Provide 2nd level maintenance support for all CHARGING SYSTEMS & VAS network elements. This shall include but not limited to all escalations from 1st Line, implementation of platform upgrades and system expansions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Implement project related activities as well as other initiatives within the CHARGING SYSTEMS & VAS setup. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Provide specialist technical advice and information to CHARGING SYSTEMS & VAS Operational Manager and propose ideas for improvement standards in line with the trends in technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Execution decisions to maintain service continuity of the CHARGING SYSTEMS & VAS platforms and services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Provide relevant technical information\/options to enable the CHARGING SYSTEMS & VAS Operations Manager take effective decisions during emergency situations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Implement rollout of routine business requirements including but not limited to Short code changes, SMS routing requests and other service requests on the CHARGING SYSTEMS & VAS platforms to deliver new services and improve on existing services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Provide clear communication through presentations or other informal sessions to CHARGING SYSTEMS & VAS Manager and when required to the Head of Service operations and other management team members on issues related to the CHARGING SYSTEMS & VAS Network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Engage members of other departments in resolution of issues as well as planning of network related projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Participate in knowledge transfer sessions across members of the Service Operations team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Provide input into the training needs for the CHARGING SYSTEMS & VAS team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Monitor the performance of network vendors during 3rd level issue escalation and provide necessary feedback to CHARGING SYSTEMS & VAS Manager regarding performance and propose ideas for improvement of standards. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Provide input and ideas into the assessment of technical feasibility of new products or service propositions from the Business Unit<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Ability to take and manage decisions effectively during emergency situations in the absence of the CHARGING SYSTEMS & VAS Manager.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 To create a high value productivity and availability within MTN Cameroon in support of the VAS and Charging Systems strategy and To maintain high standards of service quality and reliability within the VAS services operations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Timely notification of escalations to the Manager, SSH and the CoE<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Resolve escalations as per defined escalation \/ resolution procedures<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Opco Operational<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Participate and provide inputs in project status meetings<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Propose operational changes and provide associated user impact assessment<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Performance<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Ensure effective execution of day to day operations at the CoE and at the Opco and resolve operational issues<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Improve productivity and quality through leading practice initiatives<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Reporting<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n\u2022 Provide inputs to the Manager (as required) relating to progress made within the sub-division and in accordance with the measurement metrics set by the organisation\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Job Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n\u00ab\u00a0Education:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Degree in Engineering or IT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n\u2022 Minimum of 3 years\u2019 experience in Intelligent Network; <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Experience in supervising others is an advantage <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Experience working in a medium organization<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Trainings\/Certifications:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Charging Systems and Cloud VAS Platform, API <\/p>\n\n\n\n
GSM Architecture and Resource Provisioning<\/p>\n\n\n\n
ITILV3 Fondation Certification is mandatory<\/p>\n\n\n\n
