Cameroon Mining is a leading company in the mining industry, with operations across Africa. We are looking for a Procurement Specialist to join our team and manage the procurement of goods and services for our mining projects.

As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for:

•  Researching and identifying potential suppliers that meet our quality, safety, and environmental standards

•  Negotiating contracts and purchase orders with vendors, ensuring the best value for money and delivery terms

•  Monitoring and evaluating supplier performance and compliance, resolving any issues or disputes

•  Maintaining accurate records of procurement activities, inventory, and expenditures

•  Collaborating with internal stakeholders, such as project managers, engineers, and finance staff, to understand and meet their procurement needs

•  Staying updated on market trends, industry regulations, and best practices in procurement

To be successful in this role, you should have:

•  A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, engineering, or a related field

•  At least 5 years of proven experience as a Procurement Specialist or a similar role in the mining industry

•  Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills

•  Strong knowledge of procurement processes, policies, and systems

•  Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP software

•  Ability to work independently and as part of a team

•  Willingness to travel to various mining sites as required
