Software Development Engineers (SDES) use cutting-edge technology to solve complex problems and get to

see the impact of their first-hand work to help improve healthcare access in Africa at large.

Responsibilities

You’ll be responsible for making sure our new users feel the magic when we instantly connect them with a healthcare service provider via our platforms.

• You will write structured and testable code and be able to maintain existing code while following agile

practices. Produce clean, efficient code based on specifications.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software.

Designing algorithms and flowcharts to create new software programs and systems if necessary.

• Compiling and assessing user feedback to improve software performance.

Write automated tests for our apps and integrate them into our release flows.

Advocate for testing and software quality practices in our product Monitor test coverage and other important QA metrics.

Important to note, our iOS app is the one of the highest conversion platforms for new users, so your team’s work on improving the experience has a huge impact on our users & business.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Familiarity with the syntax of languages such as Python, PHP, Javascript, Java etc At least 2+ years of experience as a Full Stack Engineer/Developer using the languages above with their related frameworks e.g Django/Laravel/Flask.

Strong knowledge of core basics of PHP, Python (specifically OOP), HTML, CSS, & JavaScript

Must: a willingness to dive in and read code written by others to solve problems. Knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals such as object-oriented design, algorithm design, data structures, problem solving, and complexity analysis.

Decent knowledge of crafting and designing APIs. – Git/Github/Gitlab About You:

You have a keen eye to discover deep rooted issues and provide improved solutions to problems.

-You love coding and you’re an engineer, through and through.

– You love taking on sticky coding challenges and innovating creative solutions

-Great communication skills.

– Self-supervised.

– You are deliberate about your work and your time Nice to haves:
