Duties
Incumbent is responsible for processing work orders from start to finish along with various other clerical and administrative duties. This involves routing work orders to GSO or FM as appropriate and then following through with the completion and close out of each work order in a timely fashion. By using interpersonal skills this person is to interact with customers as to make them understand the details surrounding their work order(s), expected dates of completion, and articulate realistic expectations in a positive manner. This position backs up the Administrative Assistant position.
Qualifications and Evaluations
Requirements:
EXPERIENCE: A minimum of two (2) years of clerical, administrative, and customer service experience in an international organization or large local institution is required.
JOB KNOWLEDGE: Basic knowledge in building and grounds maintenance with some knowledge of construction. Standard knowledge of internal policies and procedures is also required. Must have basic knowledge about construction and repairs to determine which technician to send and how to log materials, labor hours, travel time, waiting hours and date performed. Must be computer literate: MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, PowerPoint, Internet, and basic data management software. Knowledge of filing and record-keeping principles. Knowledge of basic protocol procedures. Good knowledge of time management strategies to effectively manage job tasks and responsibilities. These may be tested.
Education Requirements:
Completion of High School (GCE ‘A’ Level or BAC) is required.
Evaluations:
LANGUAGE: Good working knowledge (Reading/Writing/Speaking) of English and French is required. This may be tested.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Excellent communication skills with emphasis on customer service. Demonstrate leadership ability to help supervisors motivate FM staff to complete work orders and look for most efficient way to route technicians and equipment for maximum efficiency. Written communication skills in memos and email essential. Negotiation and persuasion skills and ability to stick with multiple tasks through completion and close out. Typing ability of 40 wpm is required. Must be skilled in the use of copiers, faxes, PCs, printers, scanners, and office telephones. These may be tested.

Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), working at the U.S. Mission in Yaounde, Cameroon may receive a compensation package that may include health, separation, and other benefits.
For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.
The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
