The position will be based in Douala
and the candidate should be ready to work across the national territory. Job level : 5 – Job grade: 3B

This role is charged with the planning and managing marketing campaigns that promote the company’s, products and services as well as guiding marketing decisions by providing strategic insights from crunching and large data sets. It is also responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring all digital marketing campaigns across all the bank’s digital channels.


Planning all marketing and sales promotion campaigns,
Collecting market information, analyzing metrics, identifying trends and evaluating emerging technologies
Measure and report on the performance of all digital marketing campaigns
Conduct social media audits to ensure best practices are being used

Plan, upload and update content on a timely basis
Through analyzing both internal and external data, responsible for understanding the consumer, to guide our day-to-day marketing activities as well as our global marketing strategy.
Coordinate with sales team to create marketing campaigns
Monitor key online marketing metrics to track success
Create and maintain online listings across e-commerce platforms
Conduct internal and external data analysis to better guide on the Ecobank Customer experience; and
Establish innovative strategies to solve complex marketing problems: reach valuable data driven insights, through the discovery of patterns and trends; testing and evaluating various marketing mix models; formulating and designing data pipelines to monitor key metrics for the marketing teams.


work very closely with the Business Units, Brand, Marketing & Communication Teams at the regional & Group levels.
Design and oversee all aspects of our digital marketing including our marketing database, email, and display advertising campaigns.
Develop and monitor marketing and publicity campaign budgets.

Plan and manage our social media platforms and Timely capture of salient social media information Prepare accurate reports on our marketing and promotion campaign’s overall performance.

Engage and Coordinate with advertising and media experts to improve marketing results.
Work with Business teams across the bank to brainstorm new and innovative growth strategies.
Oversee and manage all contests, giveaways, and other digital projects.

Content Strategy – In line with Group policies and in liaison with group functional team, responsible for all website content and for creating and implementing the content strategy to ensure online objectives are met.
SEO and SEM –responsible for boasting website and content to increase reach and views.
Optimizing website structure and content for search engines (SEO) and/or the use of paid online
E-Commerce –responsible for converting website visits into online onboards via easy online experience and introduction of special deals to get clients to download Ecobank Mobile Apps, online onboards etc. Social Networking –responsible for managing the online presence and brand. Use the Social networking tools such as Facebook, Twitter and Google+ to engage with customers in real time and be responsible for this online communication.

Experience & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, digital marketing, Business or relevant field.
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a digital marketing analytics/marketing/consulting
or advertising position.
In-depth knowledge of various social media platforms, best practices, and website analytics.
Solid understanding of website analytics tools e.g. google analytics;
Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is required.
Knowledge of video and picture editing software such as Adobe is an advantage
Highly creative with excellent analytical abilities.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

Up to date on the latest trends and technologies in digital marketing.
Marketing domain expertise: Hands-on experience from tactical marketing analytics (such as marketing mix and attribution modeling, campaign performance analysis, ROI estimates, life time value modeling) and consumer-oriented marketing analysis (segmentations, user survey, storytelling about consumers, brand positioning, etc.)
Experience executing paid social media campaigns

Strong technical competence to perform advanced analytics: Coding skills (such as python, java,c), experience performing analysis with large datasets, analytics tools experience (SPSS, R, excel, SQL, HIVE, hadoop), experience from 3rd party marketing tools (such as Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Adobe Marketing Cloud)

Experience with hands-on statistical modeling (such as regression modeling, a/b testing, significance testing etc), knowledge about machine learning (such as predictive modeling, decision trees, classification models, clustering techniques), knowledge about statistical research methods (such as conjoint survey models, segmentation survey methods, etc)

Skilled at condensing analysis into actionable insights to inform business decisions within marketing, and influence / transform business performance; understand business models and high level strategy.
